Shillong , June 14: Two KSU leaders were arrested today for their allegedly hurling petrol bomb at a house on Tuesday night.
“We have arrested them after investigation pointed out their involvement in hurling a petrol bomb at the house of one non-tribal in Forest Colony, Golflink late last night,” East Khasi Hills District SP Davis Marak said.
He said they have been identified as Biangbor Paliar, who is the President of KSU Mawlai Circle as well as organising secretary of the central body. Along with Paliar, police also arrested KSU Mawlai-Mawkynroh unit president, John Kyrshan Hashah.
The SP informed that the two KSU leaders were also wanted in connection with the recent incident at the site of the railway project at Ronghona in Ri Bhoi district.
The arrested duo will be produced in a court tomorrow.
“After thorough interrogation, both of them will be handed over to Ri Bhoi police,” the SP added.
