SHILLONG, JUNE 2: NPP leader and Cabinet Minister Wailadmiki Shylla on Tuesday said there is no internal conflict over the party’s Rajya Sabha candidate, adding that the final decision rests with the party high command.
“See, definitely I will have my own opinion, others also will have their own people whom they want to project, so that does not mean that there is a conflict, it is everyone’s right to project their own people whom they see fit,” Shylla told reporters.
He stressed party unity amid speculation over multiple names.
“As a party, just like the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers and others have said, NPP is one big happy family, so whatever our leaders decide, we respect their decision,” he said.
Asked, he said, “Three to four names were there, in the media also it has come, but like I said, ultimately it is the decision of the party high command.”
