Shillong, March 22: Invoking Mahatma-styled quit India movement for making girls free of diseases, Delhi trio namely Ashutosh Kumar Singh, chairman of Swasth Bharat Trust based in New Delhi, along with two of his associates Prasun Latant and Vinod Kumar Rohilla have embarked on a 16,000Km road journey from New Delhi to North East to spread the message on ‘Swasth Balika, Swasth bharat’.The trio reached capital city today. Meghalaya becomes the 19th state in their journey spreading awareness message about girl child health & long term basis Nutrition & supplements to children with special focus on Girl child in school and colleges. The slogan Swasth Balika: Swasth Samaj may be seen as an extension of highly ambitious initiative Beti Bachao Beti Padhao by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that is making a radical change in attitude of people toward the protection of girl child. Swasth Bharat is a team of cogitative-enthusiastic youth, focused on creating awareness for healthy society and healthy country. In their entire journey, the trio is visiting various states, where they are meeting adolescent girls and addressing them with an aim to make them aware of health related issues. The trio, which promoting Gandhian philosophy on health within the community, held a progamme in Shillong College. A large number of girls attended the programme.
